i've decided to refurb my old rb5 alloys, but as they aren't in the best nick, i'm going to do the refurbishing myself. but, what colour do i choose, which is where you lot can help!
1. colour code the same colour as car
2. keep close to original colour
3. nice bright silver colour
4. rather dark, almost black colour
comments would also be of help.

I've voted dark.
If you definitely want to change colour then i'd go for anthracite but not an overly-dark shade. If it were me i'd be inclined to keep tham as close to the standard shade as possible.
PS: got home safely.

i'd keep them original m8, but you awt to see the nick of em! thats one reason i got a new set of wheels, cause they were that bad. they have been on the balancer now and can been balanced instead of taking a hammer to them, so just have to get rid of the kerb marks. when i come to sell the car i may well get them properly done, but until then, i can kerb away!

yes m8 i figured, when i go to sell them, i'll have them properly shot blasted and dipped back to original colour and by then, they'd probably be kerbed again anyways so yes, just painting them myself with car paint.....once i've mixed up the colour i choose

Just make sure you do summit with the wheel - if you leave it black it looks like a Motherwell taxi (sorry mods, I mean UK one Thought that sounded a bit 'scottish forum' for the masses there).
get a nice shiny rim like mine (oo-er missus)

How's it going? To be honest, I saw a set of RB5 wheels refurbed in Silver (in S & S) and they looked a bit odd. When you saw them, they just didn't look right. So I would suggest just to keep them as close to the originals as possible. Either that, refurb them and part exchange them for P1 wheels in anthracite! Seen them on RB5s and they look real cool!

alrighty gordon and thanks for that. comments are what i asked for, but it's gettin harder to decide, but darker is still not quite there
rb5 286
i can do the reairwork and spraying myself, so it doesn't make sense me buying another set of wheels if i can do this for about very cheapness
