Default replacement spoiler BUT

is it the sti5 or 6 that requires extra holes in the boot lid

i have a my00 already fitted with a procrive rear spoiler but
i prefer the look of the later sti versions
however,i have been told that one of them requires extra hole(S)
drilling for fitting . . .
most people have said it's the v6 but some have also said it's the v5

WHICH IS IT ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????

cheers in advance

Dazza, If you are thinking of the replica STI5 or 6 spoilers they are usually 2 piece – the lower half (the bit mounted to the boot) being the same for both versions.
You can use the original mounting holes as used by your current spoiler only if want, but you can also drill extra fixing points in the middle if you wish.

Hope this helps
Oh ... and get ready for a fight between those who will want to buy your Prodrive spoiler!!!!!!

Daz mate, as you know I have an STI 5 spoiler, I got mine from Scoobyworld. They recommended drilling extra mounting holes but I just used the original holes and the spoiler has been absolutely fine. I don't exactly drive like a granny either

I have a 22b Spoiler that has 11 screw fixings on it but I have only used the original 4 and have taken the car over 150mph on the autobahn and it is fine but I am eventually going to drill some more.

MY00 STI6 was fitted by Scoobyclinic and am pretty sure they just used existing holes.

Spoiler itself is solid even at speed.
If you want any piccys let us know and ill chuck some across to you.

Regards
Ashley
