WRC98 Front Bumper fit a MY95 Wagon?
I'm pretty sure classic saloon and wagon front bumpers are interchangable, but is this true for coupes too? Would a MY98 WRC bumper (actually from a WRC car) fit my wagon with ease (apart from the grill bits)? If not, what changes would be required?
Thanks in advance.
Ben

Forget it. You would need to make changes to the front of your chassis to add the necessary attachment points, and even if you got that far you would then find the bumper wouldn't match the roadcar's narrower wings and smaller wheelarches.
You can get WRC/22B lookalike bumpers that will fit roadcars, but real WRC car bumpers won't.

As Greasemonkey says, it definately won't fit.
This WRC bumper has been up for sale a few times recently, presumably being bought then the new owner finding it won't fit and selling it on again to the next hopeful.

Yours is a copy designed to fit a roadcar, and as such it's made to fit the standard bumper bar and grille assembly, as well as being different at the sides to fit the standard narrower front wings and smaller wheelarches.
If it's in good nick and still usable, looks like David got a bargain there, he could probably sell it on to a privateer rally team at a tidy profit if he wanted to.

Will be using it to work on a design that WILL fit the classic body shapes.
Although I may also get Colin to sign it then sell it again.

Bad news everyone.
The bumper still hasn't turned up.
Paid for it a month ago, but he doesn't reply to constant e-mails.
So I had ebay do a check on him, and they supplied an address in Romford and a telephone number.
So I gave him a call, and what a surprise it's registered to a company, a Subaru company - and they advertise on here. (Adam M - it's not the old or new Scoobysport)
So if the bumper doesn't turn up next week it's name and shame time.
If not on here, certainly on my web-site.
It also looks as if he's knowingly selling the same bumper to different people, even though there can only be the one bumper.
Some good news though.
I have sourced another WRC bumper from 1997, and an S7 WRC bumper from 2001 and an S9 WRC bumper from 2003.
So if he just didn't want me to use the bumper for my ideas. It won't work, the S7 is already in production and the other 2 will be ready soon after.
So keep watching this next week for further developements.

The same bumper has been sold to someone else a few weeks before.
I originally thought someone had bought it, then realised it wouldn't fit a normal road car, and was then selling it on.
And if he really thinks I won't know the difference between the genuine bumper and a copy, he's even more stupid than he's being just now.
Since he's registered his details on ebay using the company profile, I'm thinking of other options rather than just leaving negative feedback on ebay.

Warwick-hunt,
If you've looked into all that, you'll also have worked out the company from the user name.

A quick up-date for everyone.
The bumpers ARRIVED.
Last week, I kept calling the company to speak to him, but kept being fobbed off with every excuse going.
So I gave him until Friday to get it here - or else.
He had registered on e-bay as a company, so trading standard would be involved. And I would be claiming through the Scottish small claim courts rather than e-bay.
That done the trick, instant panic, and the bumper arrived on Friday.
So since it's arrived all I can do is leave some "nice" feedback on ebay, and I've noticed he's also trying to scam someone else also.
So in future I will be avoiding this chancer and the company involved.
Anyone who hasn't worked out who they are can e-mail me or a PM for an answer.
Anyway, back to the original plan for a road going WRC bumper.
A trial version is getting knocked up just now for testing.
In reality there doesn't look to be too much involved in altering it for a road car. But I don't make them myself so that could be crap and totally wrong.
Once I've got it on a car here, I'll stick up some pictures.

Glad you finally got it David, can you PM the company please.
I've just bought one off Whitenight (see link below). He says its defininitely a narrow arch vertion and will fit a normal road car OK but if by some chance it does n't fit the bumper mounts then trust me I will make it fit
