Default fitting STI 8 or other spoiler to WRX03

Hi

Either going to get the rallytech rear spoiler or the STI8 replica from drmotorsport.

The rallytech looks like it'll fit easily (just use a socket wrench to remove the old one and rebolt the new one?), but I'm not sure about the styling, as I haven't seen a straight on picture of it. Does anyone have one?

The STI8 replica is my preferred style, but they recommend extra holes. Apparantly some people have fitted these to WRXs with just the four bolt holes and double sided tape. Anyone here done that and have any comments for or against?

Alternatively, can anyone recommend someone to do the drilling/fitting for me? Somewhere near Slough/Winsdor would be great.

cheers jasoon, thats perfect. I just couldn't get a proper idea of what it looked like from the back or side on - all the pics were at an angle.

Its much straighter from the back than I'd thought - almost the same as the STI8. Side on slightly more angular, but maybe thats no bad thing.

Certainly enough for me to decide which one, once I've found out properly about fitting of the STI8 one.

I like the STi 8 one but I don't want my car to be an STi copy ,also don't want to drill into the boot

You never know if the person that fitted the spoiler painted the new hole's or left them bare to rust

Glad them pic's where of use.

Took me a while to decide ,I also like the scoobyworld one but by the time its painted and fitted it would probably be about the same price as the Rallytech one

know what you mean now about STI copy. I was originally going down that route, simply because I think it looks really nice.

However now, with potential aftermarket front splitters etc, I might just go my own way.

What about getting the spoiler off the Type 25

Personally I think it looks nice ,but its a bit halfords/maxpower universal spoiler'ish

Or how about the C-West wing? or the Orciari wing?

For the wing its either rallysport or STI8 - don't like the JGTC type on road cars personally, and others are too detailed. I like simple lines - form following function.
