After wavey top centre guage pod for MY00 Impreza. Saw some threads about who should and shouldn't be selling these things and I never got round to buying one but my guages need a home ASAP.

Do I really have to pay £70 for a bit of plastic?

they are only plastic from defi, the ones from jw are fibre glass, if you've got your gauges then you don't have to spend much more to get sorted.

why? is there a copyright on them?

only asking coz i want to make one myself and the ones i've seen out there look a bit pooh and i want to use a wavy top design and maybe flog them on ebay if all goes well.

if defi started them then defi has the only claim to it,but i don't think copyright??? jw racing is just another copy and is sold as a defi "style",,,Hoskib,,, how do the other one's look pooh and if you can all ready get the wavy one's why do you want to make them,there's only so much you can do to that bit of space to hold 3 guage's IMO

i think other styles look a bit boring and the wavy top is the only one that appeals to me.

i want to make one using a similar shaped top but maybe with some different sort of style on the faces, as you say, there's only so much you can do.

i'm thinking of making one basically coz i can, and fancy having a go, little 'on the side' project if you will. probably end up costing me more than buying one, but hey, it'll be unique
