Yeah right,
I bought a set of PIAA carbon look wiper blades nearly two years ago. I thought they looked a bit flimsy at the time. The drivers side lasted only three weeks before it broke. the passenger side lasted about two months. Anyway it cost me nearly forty quid (that included a fiver for shipping ) for them and I consider it money wasted. I later bought a set of Bosch wiper blades from Halfords for fourteen quid and they are far better and have lasted a year and a half.
I WILL NEVER BUY PIAA AGAIN. They wouldn't even aknowledge my emails. (Bloody rip off)

I had the same problem as scunnered.
One of the tensioning arms on the PIAA wiper blade broke after only a few weeks. It was a very thin and weak looking construction. I also emailed a complaint to both PIAA and the mail order company I bought them from, but received no reply from either. So, I just replaced it with a halfords wiper blade.
I personally won't be buying PIAA again, but perhaps it was just from a bad batch.

Haven't used PIAA, but I HAVE had Bosch, and won't again..........they were a premium price, and started skipping and leaving trails after only about 6 weeks.
I now have Champion ones on both cars, and the youth's Clio, and they are superb.

got my PIAA silicone jobies from Wendy at Scoobyworld....great service and arrived in double quick time for me to clean the windscreen with those wipe things and run them dry for ages so they bed in and leave the silicone on the screen...... 
I was on the A69 in light rain today it's a toss up between driving without the wipers going at all !!

To digress slightly - I never make a complaint by email - they're just too easy to ignore, always phone, IMHO its the only way anyone listens...
I'm actually looking at get a set of PIAA wipers, so I'll be keeping an eye on them when I do.
Midlife - Did you do anything to the windscreen before giving the PIAA's their "dry run"? I know the bottles of Rain-X you can get need have a prior treatment of the windscreen before applying it.
