Wanted! loan of pre97 bonnet for a day.
Hi all,
Have posted on The general section, but shall repeat it here.
I am in process of making a Sti8 style soop for pre97 bonnets, I have done the top half and it looks the nuts (even if I say so myself) need to borrow a bonnet for a day in order to take a mould, this is a harmless process.
Anybody that lives in or around Enfield (N.London) willing to help.

ralphcarol, have you got any pics of the scoop so far? how can you make the scoop
if you don't have a bonnet, how do you know it will fit?
you were asking about a mini scoop a while back http://http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bb...d.php?t=299209
did you get one? (was it to copy)

Reply to DJ73 and Barron.
Hi DJ73 and Barron,
In Reply to DJ's question my bonnet bonnet is a 97>2000 and therefore totally different to a pre97.
Barron, I used the bonnet from a mates car to make sure the top fitted but he has now sold it and bought a skyline. I still need a bonnet to make sure the bootom of the scoop sits perfectly in the hole and uses the same fixing points. I have got a picture of my 97>2000 version and would post it if someone could teach me how to do so. Lastly why make a mini scoop when it is a lot easier to buy one (unlike the bonnet scoop which nobody does).

Double D,
Derek at ETS now has an early bonnet also.
He's going to be doing the same sized intercooler scoops for the 93-96 models now.
He already has them for the 97-00 bonnets.
Higgs,
The scoops are slightly over 60mm high, compared with 40mm for the standard ones.

if anyone needs a bonnet for a pre-facelift, you should call the Bucks Subaru Centre in High Wycombe on 01494 564555 or 07778 776641. The guy there has some lying around and is interested in purchasing one of these new scoops when made for his car, so im sure an arrangement can be made

Hi guys,
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to this thread but have had a lot of work commitments.
My Sti8 style scoop is an exact replica of the real thing apart from very fractionally smaller side swages. There is also a pre facelift version on it's way which again is an exact copy.

You have just bought to my attention a great big B***s up, The price should be £175.00 + VAT but the differences between this and others on the market are unbelieveable. For a start they do not look what they are supposed to be copying, I have yet to see one with the four uprights joining the top and bottom, mine are made in black GRP which if you know anything about black is that it shows every little mark (but this scoop does'nt have any, so no worries there) but also being black means the inside does not need spraying, neither do the uprights so this saves a fortune in sprayers time and paint.
Thanks again
Ralph.

Sorry chaps, this definitely comes under the definition of "commercial", and hence is locked.
