How to fit mud flaps?
#1
I just got some mudflap material from Demon Tweeks. I've found the STi templates, now whats the best way to attach them to the car?
Its a MY99 by the way.
Cheers!

alcazar,
£18 from demon tweeks - darker than sonic blue, lighter than DBM - you can get a few other colours - do a search on their website. I'll bung some STi stickers on them and would have saved myself £300 by giving the official items a miss...

If you have templates then I know a place who sells the mudflap material by the metre (10 quid/metre) - only in red, black or white though.
http://www.yorkshirerallyspares.co.uk
(sorry, not clicky)
and then click car/shells - scroll to bottom to see the rolls of stuff.
Cheers,
Richard.

Dave,
I made a copy of the brackets off a mates car then used stainless nuts and washers to fix the flaps to the brackets the brackets I fixed in place on my car useing an expandable rubber fixing from rawplug which are sold in focus d.i.y just take out the o.e plastic plugs that hold the plastic inner wings to the wheel arch out and insert the rawplug expandable rubber fixing they have a m8 nut molded inside them and then bolt the brackets on.Its a bit hard to explain and im unable to post pics yet hope you get my drift tho.
