Question

I have read many threads on different available scoops but nobody seems to make a different scoop for the pre 97 classic scoob

If anybody knows different then please point me in the right direction or if any body has tried to mod a later models scoop to fit our bonnet I would be very interested

please help

Ali G

Question

alright if nobodys knows of one what do you other pre 97 owners want?

Later classic shape
STi 7
STi 8
custom

if we get a consensus of opinion perhaps we can get some one to make us one. oooh a group buy !!

give me your votes opinions and ideas

my personal preferancw would be a slightly higher version of the later classic shape

why not get one made that protrudes further forward and is slightly higher like the STI8 scoop, because the pre 96 scoop is so small i think it wouldnt look right just raised if you get what i mean.

I know derek at ets racing had thought about making a bigger scoop, but i think he is getting sick of people saying they wont something, him making it, then know one buying it..

So if we had a group buy that had a list of people who deffinitly want one it may persuade him..

his email is

ets.racing@blueyonder.co.uk

I agree with you about the shape Dan, just higher would'nt look right but I think the STi 8 is a little too OTT

With regards Fundimental I would not organise a group buy or commision with him as I don't agree with his ideas of fitment /cust service and his sold as seen policy (not trying to start an argument just advising this is not an option for me)

here are some pic to get you thinking

Later classic shape

STi 7

STi 8

custom
?

hope nobody minds me borrowing their pics if they do then please drop me a mail and I will re-edit the post

When i said about the STI8 scoop i just meant in term of the way it comes forward. However the one in the pic which i think drmotorsport sell does look good..

The thing with getting someone else to make it is keeping the cost down as thats what puts people off..

Had a word with DRMotorsport bloke and asked about this last week, he said that they wanted to do a larger scoop for the pre 96 car. They had made some mock up type things, but apparently they looked rather strange, too tall for their area.

If we can sort something out, I would be interested. Not sure about the STI8 scoop, would prefer a later classic or STI7 look.

ali, how much are you thinking the price will be, i would like a bigger scoop but as dan says i don't think anyone will be prepared to make them unless the price is right which means it'll be higher than anyone on here wants to pay, good luck anyway i hope it comes good!!

I know of one person on here that put the Version 1-2 scoop/vents onto a later model, MY98, hood (bonnet). I don't knwo if it will work in reverse of that though. I would say brrow someones and see if it will work.
