How easy it it to remove the black plastic sills on the my03 wrx? I am having mine colour coded and its a case of lose my car for a week, or remove them myself and just give them the sills to spray.

Thanks

Not sure if they used the same method as MY98 but ill tell you anyway (just incase).

The sills are two piece jobbies and there a three bolts/screws holding in them in place underneath the sill. They are also held in place with push in/pull out clips.

Once the bolts/screws are removed, they should just pull off.

***NOTE*** This is for MY98

Edited cos i cant spell

Just had mine done,

1,remove philips headed trim clip just behind front wheel
2.About 6/7 clips holding the sill on underneath, prize the middle part out then remove the clip.
3.Then pull the sill off,it's held on by a further half dozen clips.
I removed the rubber seal off the top of the sill and refitted it after painting, took about 20 mins to remove both sills.
I advise to have them painted to a smoothe glass like finish as opposed to the textured look as of the standard black plastic.

Further note, do you know where i can get some clear plastic adhesive sheets/tape to guard against stone chips? needs a piece ideally at the front and rear end?

Cheers for that.

Used some clear plastic to protect the front of my old elise.

Can usually get it from any good number plate / decals shop - the ones that sell the 12 foot wide kenwood stickers! Usually a choice of film thickness too.
