Hi Yoza.
Thought you had left the country mate. Not too much to do on the 01 kit now, but It will have to wait a few weeks Glad you like the new one BTW.
The doors will open, but only from the inside. Didnt think it was worth relocating the handles, I think it looks better without.
Heres the bumpers after a hard days work!
With extra large air intake, perfect for a FMIC
Cheers.

I got started on my wide arch kit today, finished the basic construction of the pannels, just need to let them set on the car overnight, then my car can go back to normal for a while
Next its the skirts, then widening the bumpers.
Cant wait until it looks like this!
I will put more pics on this thread as I go along.
Cheers, Rob.

Heres an update on the project, the arches are taking shape now, and built up the basic skirts.
Heres the wheels Im hoping to get, SAS 3 piece split rims, going for 18"*8.5", gives an extra 55mm on either side of the car
Just waiting for the prices on them (Doh!)

Rob,
can you show me a pic of your morettes with your side lights on, with normal headlights and final full beam?
I know the outer ones are your normal headlights and the full beam is all 4 so where are the side lights on the unit?

The side lights are in the normal headlight, the outer one. If you look at the bottom of the reflectors, there is a small bulb holder in the lamp unit. You need to wire this up to your side light cables. It was necessary to cut the original plug off the original sidelight cable, extend the cable, and crimp on some universal connector plug thingies, you will know when you see it!
Cheers, Rob.

Heres some more pis,
Nearing the end now, getting a bit excited
All thats left to do now is widen and deepen the bumpers(tomorrows job, he he) then take moulds from it all.
Hoping to have it all fitted and sprayed in 2 weeks from now, when my wheels arrive.
Cheers, rob.

You should have a look at the wing mirrors on a TVR. they have a little button under it that you press to open the doors. will work well on the front doors and good for security.
Thats all I know. just an idea.

No going back now!
Had the front arches cut back, and the rears cut back, then welded back to the inner skin. Will give me loads of clearence, ready to fit the kit next week now, at last!!

its not at all rob, u need to take old handles off and weld plates over the holes and blend them in, im sure youre more than capable of doing that
then use one of the many oor release kits available, directeds one is good. Its a simple solenoid that bolts to the inside of the door with a cable which you attach to the rod which pulls your door open when u lift the handle. Then when it gets current it pulls the cable and opens the door, the button on the mirror is simply a switch.
it will take you about an hour per side to do it properly, u shud give it a go m8
