Question

I have ordered a pink Subaru badge to go on the grill of my STi8, but how do I take the old one off?

Had a quick look and there is nothing obvious, do I prise it off and glue the other one on???

Cheers
Peter

If it's anything like the one on my 02 WRX then it's only held on with double sided tape!!! - carefully prise it off, clean the grill and stick the new one on

Hope this helps

You can usually pass a bit of dental floss or fishing line across one end, then grip both ends of said line, and pull it towards the other end with a gentle sawing motion. It cits the sticky pads and releases the badge.
When I did mine, I then removed all paint using Wickes paintbrush cleaner and elbow grease, and repainted pink. It was refixed with double sided pads for numberplates from a carshop.

I will give it a go when the badge eventually turns up!

Alternatively you could just park down my road for an hour or so, some ******'ll get it off for you. I'm on my 4th in 3 months.

Question

Adam: why not fit the new one with Velcro?
No, seriously: put the strips of Velcro on the badge and grille with Evo-Stick, and remove the badge every time it's parked.

Hey Flatfour read Alcazar's reply above... remove the black paint and paint it pink yourself...... save a couple of squid that way.
