Question

Just out of interest, has anyone fitted a roll cage into a road going 4 door scoob?? Was just thinking about it the other day 'cause thought it COULD look ok if the right style, size and placement was used??

Anybody know of people who can make custom roll cages?? - possibly for the rear half of the car only - maybe 2 bars extending overhead and down the A pillars??

U might want to try & get it insured first - they don't like cages on the road.

Really..... why not????? Can't imagine that roll cage would/could upset anybody????
Is it due to the appearance - more appealing to scum - or is it a safety issue??
Anybody actually got one in the car??

Unhappy

I would assume the reason insurance Cos dont like em is the likely hood of increased injury to passengers, front or rear in the event of an accident, unless wearing a proper crash helmet and proper padding a roll cage can be quite dangerous in the wrong situation

I have a rear cage in my STi RA.
The side bits loop above the doors so it doesn't restrict access.

i think the reason insurance company's dont like cages is because they think your going to go out and race it on the roads

just my 2p's worth.
