Thinking of putting some fog lamp covers on since they arent needed in the summer (once winter is over of course), just wondering what they might look like on a 99 Royal Silver model, also thinking of getting an STi 5 front lip too to go with my STi rear spoiler, anyone with pics? Some with stickers on the covers might be nice too, really dunno, just that the front looks kinda plain now!

Get the stickers on i think they look loads better with them on...

If you want the stickers for normal prices go to www.scoobyparts.com click on 'enter site' then 'styling' just scroll down the page, they are £7.05p

If you need to get some covers a bloke called fundimental (aka derek) makes them himself they are only £25 for the normal ones, he also makes them in carbon fibre for £40.. make sure you state they are for the newer bumper...

these are the carbon ones..

His email is..

etsracing@currantbun.com

Here is what mine look like (£25 ones) sprayed and with the stickers from scoobyparts waiting to go in my new bumper..!!

It lists 3 sizes for STI, which one is right for the covers, also I dont see the subaru technica thing on thier except with an sti logo, is that the set? or is that for something else?

when i scroll down in the 'styling' section, i get the actual sticker set for the fog covers it lists them as 'STi Fog Light Sticker Set' they are the second item from the bottom of the page..

They come as a set proper size, and the only thing you can chose is the colour of the 'STI' and the 'subaru tecnica international'

Thumbs up

Hi uhf,

Iv'e just fitted fod covers last week, they are the type with no screw on the front the way they fix is, the top holes in the bumper are already drilled by Subaru, all you have to do is drill the bottom hole. don't be it is really easy they are already marked on the bumper you just need to drill 3 more holes 3mm in size and then file the hole clean, and then they just pop in to the 3 holes. easy honest.

James.

The Silver scooby with the fog light covers looks class. I have been wanting to see a picture with colour coding and fog covers on for ages.

Mine is a Royal silver scoob but the mirrors, door handles and side skirts are all black and I intend to get some spraying done soon if I can get someone to quote me a price that doesn't need a mortgage to cover!

Just ordered some fog covers from DRMotorsport with STI stickers.

Cheers Guys

hey a fellow royal silver owner, my car is like yours, all the trims on the outside are black do you also have that weird impreza strip along the side to stop people bumping your doors? I'm in two minds as to leave it on or not! Or go for the smooth look down the side

No, haven't got the strip but I'm sure it'll look much better colour coded. I had one quote for £250 with bits removed and a second quote for £450 !!!

Told the bloke to stuff himself!

Let me know what sort of prices you get quoted for coding

My guy in Enfield said £300 (Mirrors, Sideskirts, rear skirt things and I think handles too), I take the car in and he does the rest, he crash repaired my Nova SR (ok ok), a few years ago and it came back stunning, so I let him loose on my STi V rear spoiler and he did a fantastic job, drop me an email on dave@davetwilley.co.uk, would love to see some pics of your motor, I can mail you mine, showing the spoiler if you're interested.

BTW how far is Harrowgate from enfield?

Yeah, couldn't be further away really!!

I'll see what piccies i have.

Don't suppose you've fitted a Magnex backbox to yours have you??

Just wondering how loud. I want a decent backbox but don't want to get one and then regret it cos it's too loud.

Thats exactly why i dont have one! Also insurance is mental here!

Its a lot of money to find out you've made a bad decision, people say take a car out that has one, sure but you cant predict how you'll feel about it when you're in different moods, different roads, different times of day, kinda like trying to predict a women really!
