Cool

Brasso Metal Polish/Wadding - is the absolute business

I do mine with it and it comes up sooooo sparkly - I also did my missus new car with 3 years worth of deposits and that came up astoundingly too.

I use the wadding, gets all the crap off, let it dry and buff off, then apply a bit of polish which helps you to just wipe it clean for the next few weeks.

And before you ask, yes I am sad

You sad man ,next you will be polishing inside the pipe, but seriously you can buy a tube of metal polish called Autosol from Halfords which does the job really well.

Question

Used Brasso Sat. morning as planned. Was sparkling in about 5 minutes.

5 hours later was looking a little gold.

Looked again today, still very shiny but seems to be getting worse, or better if you like gold exhausts.

Whats going on? It's a stainless Scoobysport (Hayward & Scott).

I join the sad pipe rubbers here.
Can`t shift the gold colour with Autosol or Brasso. I assume it is the heat dis-colouring the metal.
Autosol is the nuts for all the nickle plated bits under the bonnet though. Try it on the metal belt guard. After about half an hour of work and its like a mirror (well just about)
