I said I wouldn't mod my first Scoob.

Oh, well I lied. Got a SS back box.

Would love some clear indicator covers next.

Where should I be shopping? Can I fit them myself? Do you then need coloured bulbs?

Cheers

Matt

Talking

u can get the clear indicators both front & sides from the usual suspect TSL, JW racing etc & i no the ABC versions come with the necessary orange bulbs although it looks even better if u use philips silvatec bulbs which are silver so look indicators now have no orange on show, until juice is put thru em then they light up orange again many suppliers like TSL etc do these. Fitting is a piece of pi$$ if u fancy kumin 2 da Cov area meet then i'll happily do it 4 ya literally a couple of minutes at most
Si
let me know if u want more details

Thanks Si

I have just browsed the TSL site. Plenty of goodies to spend the dosh on

Cheers for pointing out the meet. I am a bit shy about these things but must make it along to one. Unfotunately this time around I won't be able to make that particular date.

Extremely nice of you to offer to fit the mods for me. At the moment I think I perhaps treat the car with kid gloves more than is necessary. Do I just stick a screw driver under the side repeaters, and then obviously unscrew the front ones?

TIA

Matt

Cool

Front ones are just a case of undoing the screw thingy, pulling out, twisting off the bulb bit swap over bulb etc screw back in job dun Side uns i sure woodn't touch with a screw driver paints temperamental enuff as it is on me MY97 all u need do is push the indicator sideways, towards centre of car as i recall but it will only move in 1 direction & it will pop out pull out bulb stick in new un & push back in really easy infact makes u paranoid that it's too easy surely sum1 else might fancy removing em resisted superglueing em in so far thou
Certainyl 1 of the cheaper mods & improves look no end bish bosh wollop
As far as meets go dont worry m8y we do it monthly although there is a sorta follow up this time the week after where we're off 2 watch the national auto test event at wot wos bramcote barracks & is now called gamecock (fanahfanah) barracks if u no it. We r a friendly bunch so please dont feel shy 2 join us when we do have a meet yer free 4 i'll hold yer hand if u like, oh er it's not 1 of those sorta meets u no
Si
PS wot car u got?

Almost wish I hadn't looked at TSL now.

The wish list has just expanded from this big " " to this big " "

I have a UK MY98 in what I call light blue, cus I am a Muppet and don't know what the colour is, drrrr. I think it is the original WRC blue?

Woz guna mail em but may as well post on here:

my fronts r the jewel uns i believe which i like (especially with silver bulbs ) the sides u cant c so well & the 1st uns i bort were totally clear & flat which in heinsight wood probably look better with the silver bulbs i have but then a group buy came along so i sent em back & got these cheaper & they r like the original orange uns but obviously clear not orange so duz look the dogs do da's i think u'll agree none the less
U can c general pix on TSL as i recall but fort u might fancy a look at wot they look like on da car, & excuse 2 strutt me stuff of course lol
Si
PS having seen pix of em on other cars & on other peaps at the cov area meet (hint hint) did look into the smoked uns but i felt with me wheels being so light it looked best with full on clear uns

Thanks for pics Si. Definitely better to see them on the car.

Think I will go clear "jewel" for both.

No problem to put my email ad onto the list. Use the Virgin one as I check that everyday.
