Default Impreza WRX BlobEye: Removing black skirt covers?

Hi all,

I have a blue blobeye wrx which came with, what looks like, black skirt covers installed.

I want colour coded skirts so before I rip them off if anyone has experienced removing them and can tell me whats underneath.

Here is a Pik of what I am talking about

Many thanks!

Two clips in each wheel arch these are the plastic screw type.

And underneath are push fit bumper style clips leaver the Middle part out to release theres 5 or 6 of these? The skirts them selfs have retaining clips holding it to the body
Here's some pics of mine for reference

Are they the same clips on both types of skirts? Black and body coloured? I'm looking at a set of body coloured skirts but they have no clips,so I'm thinking I can remove my black ones swap the clips over and fit the body coloured ones?

I'm assuming it's a straight swap? a quick easy half hour job to swap one to the other?

Same clips mate, my colour coded ones only came with two so I reused the old ones.

Oh yeah it's a 15 minute job and that's factoring time for a brew.

have a power washer handy, there will be a hell of a lot of crud under them if they not been off before. I also gave the sills a blow over with spray wax for anti corrosion purposes

That's cool, I was 99% sure that was the case but wanted to doublr check, they look so much better colour coded.

I was going to give it a good clean at the same time, wax oil coat at the same time is prob a good idea.

Just so I know, how do you swap the clips? Do they twist out or flat blade and pop them out the sills?
