Default Mark Halsey.

How did Mark Halsey miss that tackle by Mcmanaman during the Wigan V Newcastle match. It's was a shocking tackle(if you can call it that) and he missed it,surely the FA will/must take action.

Martinez tried to defend the player and the ref but how can he.

Yowser. Did not see that until now. One would hope some action is taken as that is the highest tackle I have seen in a long time.

That was pretty awful, have a look at this one on Ronaldinho a couple of weeks back was even worse imo

He was lucky his weight was shifting to his other leg at the time. What was he thinking? Well, one thing clearly.

To his credit, Halsey has now said that his view was blocked and he did not see it, but if he had, he would have given a red card.

His report apparently says the same, so Mcmanaman will now be looking at a long ban.

TBH it was a poor tackle but his foot did slide over the top of the ball (the ball made his foot higher then intended)
And Alan Pardew didnt see it live, it was only after a TV replay he started being angry.

It wasn't a tackle, he was trying to clear the ball? McManamans foot was only knee high, and he does hit the ball, it looks worse because the Newcastle players foot is planted. Surely it was a ball he should've gone for?
