Default England v Bangladesh Test Thread

Sorry it's late but I've been out today and missed it

Well the pyjama cricket is over with and the captain has been rested and should be ready to take on the might of Bangladesh.

Some new players, some old ones and, what must be, an eye on the winter tour they've rested Colly.

KP has GOT to stop playing like an idiot with only 18 runs on the board, by all mean open up when you have 70 or so but not when you've only just started. Saviour or saboteur?

For reasons only know to the selectors Bell has been chosen again. What are we going to learn from that. Ok he might get a big total in this series but it is only Bangladesh. No disrespect to them but it has to be accepted that while they have the enthusiasm they haven't shown the talent of their neighbours so far. Holland, Ireland, Afghanistan, Bangladesh?

Actually, it would appear that the might of the Bangladesh bowling has got the better of Mr Bell already

Nice to see Morgan included on the strength of his T20 performance

Good knock by Trott, OK not the best team in the world but a good start to the summer for him after a poor tour of SA.

Dont worry about KP he'll come good, still the best batsman in the world imo

Ding Dong surely playing his last test for Eng, I'm now standing shoulder to shoulder with you on this one Chris

Been a poor morning for both sides. Still, Hossain has finished with 6 England wickets including Trott, Cook & Anderson so he can feel pleased with himself.

Finn improved a bit yesterday once play started.

Barring weather delays, it looks like the summer will consist of 4 day tests at this rate.

Lets wait until the end of the Summer before slamming them, it was the first test and the county season has barely started, Finn looks very promising, he'll be on the Ashes tour

Well we're 1-0 up in a 2 test series so we know we can't lose

Experimenting with the side I see by including the injury prone Shahzad.

I can think of a few

I was just sitting back thinking that Cook would prove you wrong this time. Playing the worst test team in the world. on home turf. What a great chance to prove you wrong and increase the averages I thought......

Still, KP's got bored again and thrown his wicket away. Our innings now depends on Bell

The only good thing is that we can't lose the series

Honestly, with KP he can play a good stroke but you wouldn't bet your house on him making a 50 would you? With other batsmen they stick in their and it takes a good ball to get them out, with KP the excitement is knowing it literally could be ANY ball.

The BBC are doing well...

From Williams in Richmond, via text: "Oh no, here comes another cheap Bell century to keep him in the team for another year... Meaning Collingwood will come back in most likely for Morgan. I'd far rather have Morgan in the team for the first Ashes Test than Bell. 10 times as much bottle than the Shermanator!"

Back on track, can we play Bangladesh every day.

Unbelievable. They go from 125-0 to 216 all out in about an hour.

At 125-0 our bowlers were having a shocker but I guess they found their mojo

You'd have thought a celebrty had died the way some people went on, but that's the nature of this place I guess.

Bloody Aussie TV isn't showing any of this series, I guess it's not worth them paying out for it LOL.

Oh well I'll be home for the PAK series

Wrong decision to enforce the follow on in my view. We need as much practice as possible before the ashes and it would have been good for some of our team to rebuild some confidence.

Did about 20

Awesome

Clockwise and anti clockwise, the Esses, Dipper and Forest elbow were great pieces of track, and Hell corner, although an easy corner was an absolute joy to take at speed.

Couldn't see any speed camera's, just had to look out or joggers and people walking their dogs !!

I velcroed my cheap camcorder to the dash, I'll see how it looks and might upload it.
