Sorry but I refuse to contribute to a Liverpool thread, started by a Manc. It's just WRONG.

Thought it would be good to keep it in one place, maybe when the Mod in residence wakes up he can create your own one and sticky it

i'll comment, Rafa is hailing Lucas as the best player in the pre season games, He say's he is showing quality. That means he'll start every game and be crap,
He Say's Aquilani will be out for a month and take time to settle. Talk about hitting the ground running Eh?

Default Gerrard

I think he should follow in the footsteps of Carra and retire.
All England games are pointless!

Shame about Torres's lack of ambition - he's just signed the improved longer contract with LFC negotiated over the summer

Default Performance

You can't single out one player for criticism, England the team are at best mediocre.
They have good individuals but thats were the quality stops.
We all live in hope and thats the only place we'll ever be.
the days of the home nations producing and sustaining production are gone.
just look at the society we now inhabit, what does that tell you? The attitiude doesn't exist anymore.
There are too many Punks and freeloading parasites in society and that is where the problem is.
Lets face it large portions of the population live without moral standards.

Rafa and subs... what's the deal? 15 mins to go and need a goal or two so I'll take off forward players and keep on 2 DM players?

Had to laugh and 'Carra' nutting his own player.... he even had 2 looks first to make sure he got him good and proper!

Chris i don't know if you know or not but it was reported today that Hertha Berlin (i think that was who it was) have come back with a £3m bid to take Voronin after originally pulling out.

Aaron

You cant really put today's performance on a player who got ten mins. Look at your manager and Torres who looked woeful.

He certainly wasn't to blame for Sundays result; but I've seen a lot more than 10 mins of Voronin and can only come to the conclusion that he's a lazy, slow, has woeful ball control and a poor attitude. I hear he does a mean redition of 'Rocking All Over The World' though.

That said, I'd like to see him given the chance to prove the fans wrong. Let's hope we batter Stoke midweek and he bangs in a hattrick.

0-0 anyone?

Default Sparsity

That is what we are suffering from in the goal scoring department.
Gerrard will score some, if fit and playing regularly so will El Nino.
There doesn't seem to be anyone else who will.
Babel = no
Voronin = no
El Zhar = no
Ngog = no
Nemeth = no as he won't play.
Benayoun = 5 if your lucky.
Better hope Gerrard stays out of the pub and fit. As for Torres he is playing with an injury that needs sorting.
I don't know how Voronin gets a professional game. he must be givin rafa good head thats all i can say.

chris, we were leading scorers last year in the EPL, that was with the same players and with SG/FT not playing a lot. Look it was one bad game and we're actually no worse off than last year (lost at spurs). Yeah I'm dissapointed too - mainly cos we cant hit 114 points total now ............

but one point, move Benayoun behind Torres, put Riera on the left (not sure why he was not playing on Sunday - injury can only be the reason) and put SG back into midfield. Simples.

If you had mentioned Babel instead of Voronin then I would understand. He didnt seem interested to me, that from someone who moans about not being picked.

I'll think we'll improve. Torres didn't play every game either last season so its not all doom and gloom i suppose.
we'll see in May, you may all think i'm mad but Man City have the personnel and the depth in their squad to have a serious impact on the league this season. they cannot be writen off.
I'll look forward to the next game.
