Ronaldo goes for £80m!
Where do Madrid get the money from??
A good deal for Man Utd though, unless City put in a counter bid.

£80m is too much for anyone to turn down, for any player.
I'd assume Ribery will be the main target, but he isn't worth the £65m Bayern want for him IMO.
Shame to see him go, but is was obvious he wanted to leave.

It's a good point: no matter how bigotted we are about a player from a rival Premier League team (I hate Man U as much as the next manc), the fact remains that the world's very best players (the likes of Messi, Kaka and shortly Ronaldo) will be all be playing in Spain next year. Don't forget that these guys are still relatively young and will probably get even better.

wouldn't sell them a virus, maybe not, but sold them your best asset.
at least you can afford the extra 50k for Tevez now.
hope they've run out of money as alonso was on perez's shopping list.

When I see all this about Ronnie going to Madrid, I just remember when players like Cantona, Beckham, Schmeichel, Hughes, Robson etc, left or retired.
Fergie either replaced them or developed the team to play differently. A good example being Becks, best crosser in the world, didn't have a direct player to replace his long ball prowess, Utd changed the way they played.
I'm sad to see the guy go as a footballer, but won't miss the arrogance of the chap (the Anderson mock interview after winning the PL [again] was a prime example of this), or his glass legs.
£80mill, I'll take that as United (in comparison to other PL teams) have proved time and time again that they can recover.
