Anyone else thinking Man Utd are lacking a striker or two?

I can't see Ronaldo scoring as many as last year ( Could be proved wrong of course ) so where is the 25 goals per season man?

Could be an interesting season.

PS, Liverpool have just signed Flora, so we'll be spreading defences apart from now on.

Flora, spreading...get it?

city are hilarious how can one team have so many ups and down, 17000 in a uefa game and then, swp signing was just sparky getting the bitter blues on his side,
then the club gets sold , then berbatov, its pure comedy at wastelands,

Worrying trend and not sure where this game is going. Worrying even more as we're saddled with a couple of yanks.

Well done to city and their chief exec for showing that clown Parry on how its done.

Believe the guy who owns City is married to a the sister who ownes Dubai International. Can only hope this kick starts them and sort out those two across the pond.

I've been saying this for a while now, we either need UEFA to draw the line with transfer budgets or we need to be on the same playing field financially.

yep there should be a max transfer fee, maybe a limit for certain age ranges (example max 30 mill for 16 to 20yr, 25 mill for 21 to 25, etc) there should also be salary caps as well.

Awww diddums. 90% of the football league have been complaining about this for ages and now its only hitting home cause other clubs are threatening your 4th place. Didnt mind spending £20m on Torres though did you.

They are reporting on Talk sport today that january bids will be made on Torres, Fabregas and Ronaldo. Around 120 million for Ronaldo!
These guys have serious, serious money, Romans cash is like coins down the back of the sofa to these guys.

The Prem will finally have a new team in the top 4 next season if not this one.

Can't believe a certain section of the scouse fraternity on here are complaining about who spends what and caps on the transfer market.

Think of those poor b@stards who support Newcastle.

Although I agree on Salary caps

the new owner is so rich, he makes abromavich seem like a tramp

good for football? I think not. Teams should live within their means - not be funded by a bottomless pit of money

But to compete in the top 4 you need the funds mate, simple as that!! I'm just off to get my new Robino rep shirt, and a white towel and a bit of string for me head - just to show my support next week at the game

id just be worried if the abramovich's et al get bored of their "toy" and walk away, could chelsea afford 100k+ a week wages for lampard, terry, the german fella and others without him?you only have to lok at eth debacle of itv digital a few seasons ago,in scotland at least clubs spending money they thought they had, paying players big wages, then the rug was pulled from under them and the s**t hit the fan for a lot of clubs

the club should be a profit making club & self sufficient

football is fast becoming just a toy for the mega rich.

not all the top clubs rely on outside cash

exactly, there is no way those clubs could sustain themselves when the money pulls out
