Anyway, The record of English fans at home and abroad pales what went on last night into insignificance
However, that doesn't excuse the bahaviour of those Rangers fans in Manchester last night, who, if found guilty, should be sent to jail and banned from football matches for life, as should all "fans" who cause trouble.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Be interesting to see how United and Chelsea behave in Moscow next week as comparison. Always hated how the Scots are protrayed through football as all innocent jolly drunks who cause no trouble yet England are the worse for it throughout the world 
Not saying all the fans are the same, mostly a minority who cause the trouble but seriously, look at the state of Manchester in the numerous videos on youtube. This morning Ive heard from friends driving through the city to work saying it stinks of ****, theres glass and paper everywhere. Complete mess.

As a side note, do you think Rangers fans would have caused the same amount of mess had they been in any other country or is it down to the lack of respect/the rivalry of the home nations?

The Scots fans are portrayed as innocent jolly drunks because in the overwhelming majority of occasions thats what they are. English fans (both club and national) simpy have a significantly worse record, and there is no getting awat from that fact.
