BENITEZ??????
impossible to interpret?
the only example i can conjure is, your standing 30 metres away from a rabid rottweiler, it turns and charges. in one hand you have a bunch of daffodils, the other a glock 9mm with a full clip. What do you do? start throwing the daffodils?
the same happened last year in the final, when bellamy sat the whole game on the bench and watched the ageing AC Milan defenders trying to run in the latter stages of the game.
tonight it was crouch.
okay, Babel got a goal. crouch would have eased the pressure on the liverpool defence though. i've been a red all my days and been sometimes over critical of people who make difficult decisions. i could not do what benitez does but i'm wondering did he and has he took a dive?
the majority of liverpool fans think he is the man but i think he should be replaced along with parry and the yanks, let liverpool stop being a nearly team!!!!!

wtf is this thread about, get a f'ing grip. talk about knee jerk. yes Crouch should have come on straight after torres goal, but its no reason to sack the guy. Yes to yanks and yes to parry, but rafa, no !

Did Torres have a injury ?
Could'nt believe he got taken off
Did Rafa sell himself, with all the crap going on behind his back with the lfc board, he may have taken a bung from RA

It was obvious that Benitez was sh1tting it big time about Chelsea getting a goal, thats why Mascherano and Alonso were playing in front of the defence for too long. They played far too deep.

Are you kidding, kuyt works like no one Ive ever seen, nothing wrong with the lad, the mistake with Pool y'day was playign Gerrard behind Torres for too long, they knew exactley what he was going to do everytime, if he'd have kept him deeper he have been able to run with the ball more at chelsh1t and get them on the back foot.

some people on here just cant work things out can they ?
rafa did not need to win it in the first half, had to keep it tight and then go for it in the second half. As you could see it worked out to a certain extent, we were the better team in the second half by a mile.
i personally would have brought on crouch for the 2nd half and definately after the equaliser. it was there for the taking and Chelski had time to regroup after FT.

I agree with ash here.
Liverpool were completely bossing it in the 2nd half. As soon as Torres slotted home Crouch should have been straight on.
Fair play to Benitez though, he is certainly an excellent motivator. He turned Drogba from a petulant diving cheat to a world beater in less than 7 days.

Tim, no one ever doubted DD's ability, and he himself admitted he was a diver on national TV (sky sports couple of years ago), he then stopped doing it, now its back.
Now he's back on TV saying he's done so much for English football. He wont be playing in this league next year tho.

effort
only two players were trying in the game Carra and Mashcerano, all the rest to put it mildly were lacklustre.
Kuyt=crap, run all day, quality zero
Alonso= hasn't been at his best for ages. 98% pass completion 90% backwards.
arbeloa= not a patch on Steve Finnan.
Gerrard= about 25% effort.
Riise= pants
Babel= poor touch,delivery and passing.
Torres= not suited to lone striker, holding the ball up not in his game, needs a foil maybe crouch.
Rafa= taken Liverpool as far as he can, doesn't take FA, League cup seriously enough. plays weakened sides to often. Makes too many changes, favours his own signings over previous managers aquisitions even if they have less ability.
voronin,aurelio,abeloa,kromkamp,sissoko,pennant to name a few, players who aren't or weren't worthy of wearing the shirt.

FFS talk about knee jerk reactions. you sound like you're gonna top yerself.
through the middle of the team its one of the best, its quality wingers what we need and a good right back.

Just curious though Ash, why do you think we need a good right back when we already have a great one who just can't get a game

am assuming you're talkin about finnan ? yes he's ok, but just ok.
Danny Alves or Rafinha are much better and improvement is what is needed. Best add a left back as well as Riise looks like he's out this summer.

Dave, your knowledge of football limited to the UK shores? Rafinha is playing in Germany and is Brazillian !
As for the spend, Rafa's done a good job in balancing the books over the years so i expect the same again this year.

I rekon Raf should go
some of his decisions are beyond belief
Ive had enough and want to see our team really challenge for something next season.
