united vs barca 29/4/08
please discuss.
i personally think it will go one of two ways...
1. the defeat to chelsea on sat will be on the players minds and harm our free flowing football against a fellow european powerhouse.
2. the defeat and recent bad performances (boro, blackburn, chelsea, barca) away from o.t. will spur us on and give barca a battering, a la roma least season.
discuss.

1-1 draw. Barca at us for most of the game and our players in all the wrong positions. United to get a late goal a few minutes from the ned when the pressure eases and they realise they're going out.

Barca have been the best team in Europe this year. United have been the 2nd best.
United to go out on away goals. 2-2

As a neutral i will be looking for Liverpool to get through as we want the biggest final possible. Engurlands 2 biggest clubs and most bitter rivals in the biggest game sounds good to me.

Ash is right in a way. It was a very Liverpool like performance over the two games. Thought Rio and Brown were immense tonight and Carrick, Ronaldo and Tevez deserve high praise for the jobs they did for the team.
Liverpool in the final please.

Does Moscow need restructuring?

He was immense last night if only the midfielders behind him followed suit and stopped defending so deep for most of the match we would have won by more, agreed Rio and Wes were excellent, Brown looks far more comfortable playing in his real natural role of centre half.
Chelsea in the final please, purely because the dippers are due a win against us. Messi was spell binding again.

Maybe the equivalent in league position (they wish ), but not in style when have Liverpool ever played football like that not in this dimension.

I've said this before that we have been involved in some of the best football games of all time in all competitions, the EPL, UEFA cup, CL, FA cup. You can call them what you like, but for neutrals some of the best football you would see.

Yeah Chelsea are the only team in it left that I feel would have a chance of beating United now.
Personally thought it was well worth a watch, as a United fan I could see why you'd find it unentertaining but as a Nuetral it was great watching the style, flair, passing etc from both teams too. Messi is awesome to watch, Id love to see him in the Prem.
Well done to United, Chelsea tonight to hold out a 1-0 win.
