chelsea werent up to much but they did what they have done most of the season. grind out a result.

chelsea have a 4 year home record which i dont see liverpool breaking(that is if its still intact after manc match)imo you needed 2 goals but it should make a good match.

was really expecting a boring match but it was enjoyable for the neutral.

Terry had a bit of a shocker with cavalaho carrying him.
babbel and alonso had a cracker.

four chances to maybe one ? chelski's 1/2 billion expenditure and can only put one chance together.

am confident we can do a number away from home.

Alonso and Skrtel for me were both awesome. Shame someone like Heskey-Drogba has o go down so easily.

Babbel I thought had a very poor game apart from a few flashes in the second half before Rafa took him off

Personaly I would have take Kuyt off as he was hardly in it in the second half and he ran his socks off, and with either Benayoun or Pennant on the right I would have fancied their chances in taking Cole on.

Thought Arbelo has his worst game. His positioning was awful imo this evening, I was actually thinking, drop Gerrard to right back instead of Arbeloa, Bring Crouch on for Arbeloa, and then Pennant for Kuyt, we would have had better chance then of holding onto the lead

He should have brought Crouch on to put some pressure on Cech for the second gola IMO, but I would have been happy with the 1-0. Why the **** Riise didn't just kick it straight back in the direction it came from though All he had to do was hoof it up to the back row ffs :

Apart from that I thought we were awesome, Skrtel and Alonso especially. I can't see Torres misfiring like that again next week, so I still think we'll do it at the Bridge

PS: I must say, fair play to Chelsea, they did have their chances, I think Drogba could have given us more of a problem if he'd stayed upright though It would be nice now to see them get a real battering whilst taking the win on Saturday

I agree Cech was on form, but when Torres was one on one with him normally that would have been one touch and in, but tonight Torres took the extra touch, which gave Cech the chance to get out to him

The save off Gerrard was superb

Oh how I chuckled at that result, oh and I guessed the right scoreline

What on earth was fatty lampard doing just before the Liverpool goal? Chances or not the 'Pool goal was rather fortuitous with a complete miskick from temper tantrum.

Bravo we still have to win tonight to get to the final. Barcelona may be a weakened force but they can still turn anyone over on their day.

Lucky lucky Chelsea.

Please play like that on Saturday so we can give you a lesson

Will that equal;iser affect the Pool physcologically ?? they looked like they had already gone out when the final whistle blew, how Lumpard think Chelsea were worthy of the draw is beyond me...

thought we were denied a pen as well when b0llock put his arm out. Chelski have to the most boring team I've ever seen. Drogba can't stay on his feet or understands the offside rule.

Barca aim to starve Sc*m of possession tonight and win the game. Something teams in the EPL dont do.

As an impartial I thought that Liverpool deserved to win, playing better for most of the match. Thought Chelsea were very average last night with no flare or style at all.
Very bad luck at the end but what goes around comes around and Chelsea were due a little luck some would say.

Wierd position now is that Chelsea could go into the final not having scored a goal !

Whether Chelsea played classy football or not is irrelevant. Thats obviously been their tactic this season and its worked for them, theyre still in with a slim shout of the Prem title too so for Liverpool fans to slag off the team is laughable. End of the day Chelsea are in the driving seat now and you guys sound bitter even though its only half time (oh how Im having memories of a couple of weeks back, when you was saying similar to Arsenal).

Heres hoping Chelsea do you over, at least if they get to the final they'll give United a challenging game (presuming United beat Barca off course)

Some would say that had that luck at the beginining of the season with the phantom penalty that even Lampard spoke about post match
