the carlos goal was a bit special, but to be honest he just whacked the **** out of it hoping it had enough spin to bring it back in. if he did that 100 times, 90 times it would be in row z
ronaldo's free kick was perfectly planed and executed though, apparently he'd been practising pushing the ball into the ground so he could kick the top half of the ball, it would pop out and have loads of top spin to loop over the wall and back down, bit like a top spin snooker shot.
i still don't think it's the best free kick ever, but it's certainly the most technically brilliant
and no, i don't support man u

god no, the guy probably went through thousands of ***** to get to the point were he had the confidence to use it in the match.
i'm just saying he applied a more simple skill to the free kick which in my view wasn't as good as ronaldo's. visually it looked better, but technically i don't think it was as good.
depends what you class 'best' i guess

I've already posted this in another thread, it would be rude of me not to share it once more.
Same tecnique as the pompey freekick, love the keeper in this one, he's like Norman Wisdom

Roberto Carlos lived on that goal for ages, don't know why they let him keep taking free kicks after the many many attempts that went to row Z.
Fantastic free kick though, I remember Pele scoring one similar.

so going on the thinking that carlos just whacked the **** out of it and got a bit lucky, and ronaldo practices all day and night to perfect this sublime skill, we can look forward to ronaldo scoring another 2 or 3 identical free kicks this season...
result coz he's in my dream teams
for sheer brilliance and awe you'd have to say carlos free kick is better and for tecnique, timing and importance it would have to be beckhams against greece
although it was a feckin good free kick imo it aint the best...
so take them red specs off
