Class player and seems a top bloke. How Untied could do with somebody as clinical as him now. Remember when he came off the bench and bagged 4 goals in just over 10 minutes Forest I think it was?

Gutted. I read this on another forum when I got up this morning. Along with Giggsy hes my favourite United player. The guy doesn't have a bad bone in his body. A true legend, came off the bench on so many occasions and scored, something hes done throughout his career.
I knew he was due to retire at the end of the season but I didn't expect this. I thought he'd recovered well from his last clean up surgery.
I'm glad I was at the Blackburn game last season now when he came off the bench and scored.
I hope he gets a testimonial now, I for one will be there.

Im not a United fan (obviously) but cant fault Ole, cracking player and nice guy. One of the few players who aint hanging about for contracts when they should be hanging their boots up.
Good luck to the lad

Similar to a previous post i too cannot stand MUFC but i do recognise what a skillfull player he was on the pitch and a genuine guy off it.
I am afraid football has lost one of the few non prima donas that was left in the prem, and i wish him well in what ever career he decides to go into.

Lee was the one struggling at that point, not Ole. A few more strides and he could have easily got a foot on the ball.
Still, absolute brilliance.

I've thought that as well but he probably made his mind up a few seconds earlier that if he got close he'd take him down and take the red for the team. He could have got into the box and maybe it would have been a pen so he just wanted to take him down before that could happen.

It was pure commitment to the cause.
The only commitment your lot have is to the cash (i.e. Mr. John Terry - I'll sign a new contract, but ONLY if I'm the highest paid player at the club for years to come, regardless of future acquisitions).
