Any Clay Shooters On Here...?
Just started clay shooting over the last 3 months and now my Certificate has come through I'm in the market to purchase
I have under 2K to spend and was wondering what people thought of these :-
Browning B525 sporter 32" M/C
Miroku MK38 sporter 30" Teague (Cheaper)
Blaser F3 Sport 30" (I wish)
Beretta silver pigeon sport 30" M/C
Bearing in mind I have been shooting 15/16 skeet and about the same on sporting.
Or has anybody got a recommendation ?

I shot as a kid (skeet, sporting and a bit of DTL). I took it up again last year (Im 30 now). Got myself a 2nd hand Beretta 682 30" Multichoke for £650. Its 15 years old but looks like new and handles great. No probs so far.
Just try a few. Go to a clay ground with a shop and they should have some demo guns for the new models. Tbh I was loathe to spend that kinda money unless you really know what you want as could be a costly purchase. Most people seem to get a feel for a certain make. I prefer Beretta over Browning as Browning feels to boxy and chunky. And I hate the standard hard plastic butt pads (I know you can change these). I also prefer the looks in general.
Havent done as much this year as into Air Rifles (HFT style comps if youve heard of that).
Take my advice and get a decent lesson or two to pick up the basics - esp for skeet. I was hitting 15/16ex25 in skeet. After a 1hr lesson at Bisley I got a 21. Sadly I do mostly sporting these days on the odd weekend - more of a social thing with some of my fellow air rifle club members in Basingstoke.

Wow what a great day!!! My shoulder is blood red!
I won my group with 36 (from 10 rounds of 6) so a lot of room for improvement, but such a great day. I think I may forget the golf I took up recently, which is full of crotchety old men, and start shooting instead
