Clay Bar
#1
Have just bought and used a clay bar - wow, amazing results - no more stubborn stains! Is this the return of old technology that's been superceded by "better" chemical cleaners?
Also waxed the car with carnauba wax on Sunday a.m.(*) I don't think the paintwork's ever been as shiny, I'd definitely recommend both products.

(*) This is why it's been raining around here for the past day-and-a-half!!

Hi Ratman,
While you were using the clay bar, did it feel like there was no contact with the body of the car. I mean did it feel like the liquid came in between the clay bar and the body of the car giving it a slippery feel, as if the clay bar was not touching the body. I used it on a small portion, on one section and it felt like this. But when I think about it, if it feels like this how does it get the dirt off? Or have I been doing something wrong? Another chap posted a while back that it felt like that, but I would also like to hear your experince with it.
Cheers,
Wrexy.

Wrexy,
All I can say is, yes there's very little resistance between clay bar and paintwork, but the dirt/tar spots were there before using it, and not after!
Ratman,
currently mud-splattered (again) MY98 Wagon

I`ve just been down to Halfords to have a look for this wax. They do have a lot of Turtle Wax products but none that I could see that contained the Carnuaba wax?? So what is it called then I could go & ask for it direct or get them to order it for me?
