"Officers boarded the flight and removed 12 fans – including a man with learning difficulties and another who was cheered by fans for waving his false leg"
A new low for our magnificent pig force .

It wasnt so much the police at fault it was the easyjet stewardess.
When the police boarded they asked her to point out the trouble makers. She proceeded to wander down the plane pointing out randoms.
One was a bloke that was asleep. He hadnt even been to the match, he was on his way home from work.

I would agree with SDW The police are obliged to remove from an aircraft anybody the aircrew deem to be a danger to the flight, and rightly so.
From what I can gather they did their jobs quickly and efficiently, with due courtesy to all involved
The people who apparently fcuked up all wore orange, not blue

A plane full of footie fans and 3 out of 12 people taken off are a one legged person, a person with learning difficulties and a half asleep commuter.
If I'm an Idiot you're a ****

As stated in my previous post, the Police are required by law to remove anyone the aircrew deem to be a danger to the flight, they are not, at that point, permitted to question the aircrew's judgement.
But hey, why let the facts get in the way of a bit of personal prejudice

If I wanted to deal in facts do you think I'd be in here .
The police don't have to do antything they don't want to - at least that's my understanding of the contract held between the police and their employers.
They should have told the dozy bint to **** off by the sounds of things

Fair enough, a good point well made
There is contract between us and the police I never knew that
Yes, they probably should have told the EasyJet aircrew to get a grip, but can you imagine the next morning's headlines if they had taken that course of action
Unfortunately, 'Police Refuse To Arrest Hooligans Fighting on Plane' would sell far more copies than 'Stewardess Refuses To Fly With Commuter, Cripple and Retard', no matter how erroneous the story was
As is evidenced by the failure of a single national tabloid to run with this story

Pontificating
Keano is ruling the place with an iron fist, and it's working, his work ethic on the pitch has transferred to the managers office very nicely, when you have worked under Clough and Fergie some of it must rub off.
I'm another wanting to see him at Old T in the future, maybe in 2 or 3 years when SAF finally goes, it will be interesting to see how he manages in the Prem next season, I'm also chuffed for myself as I had a punt on Sunderland at 10/1 to win the championship 5 weeks ago when they were 6th
I've bocked it now lol

Think he could give Jose a run for his money in the cool stakes on the sideline as well
