They are playing candlestick makers

And BORO got to the FINAL in that cup ... we will wait to see if Newcastle can come close to that

And LOST

Finals count for nothing, no one remembers second place teams, just like the Boro will always be second to the Toon.

Fairly decent atmosphere last night at the game, the Boro game was woeful.

For the time he was on the other night he looked a lot better than when he played in the Carling Cup. I think using him as a sub will benefit both club and player.

Sub? No Larsson or Saha for the next league game. No Scholes or Fletcher so Giggs is pretty much certain to play centre mid with park and Ronaldo out wide. That leaves Rooney up front with A.N.Other. Dong?!

Rooney is going to have to start playing. He's been **** recently

Saha is only out for a few weeks, not as bad as first thought. Ronaldo can always play up front with Rooney.

That's my point about No Fletcher and Scholes. Putting Giggs in there and Ronaldo up front you have no width so it's not as simple as you make out. Who plays wide then? Saha is a crock. He always needs games to get going again. We cant rely on him.

Larsson should be playing on Satuday - he doesn't end his loan deal 'till 12th.

He is playing.

Park can go in place of Ronaldo if he is to go up front. I wouldn't really want Richardson filling in for Giggs though. Thats the options though.

It's not an option. Richardson is a grade A **** and i want him out of United. ronaldo needs to play wide. that's where he does the damage as he can run at defenders. If he's up front you lose that. Not an Option him up front IMHO.

I see Dong is in the squad for sat.

The FA cup is important but matter not next to the league. that's what I'm discussing here.

Dong is getting his first game I read tomorrow. Be interesting to see how he gets on.

Agreed though, striking aren't too clever at the moment.

With that in mind Pete will definitely be taking Ting Tong along for a Ding Dong.

He has been in Belgium learning his trade and has scored a couple of nice goals for us on pre season tours.
