But lost both games 1-0.

When it comes to Europe I hope all British clubs get through, not at the expense of Chelsea obviously .

I know your not a Man USA fan, but to hope that the **** and the Hoops get knocked out pretty much sums it up really

It's wide open this year so maybe. I guess being out of the FA Cup and league race Liverpool can concentrate on Europe.

We might have lost both games on paper, but not exactly sure how. Excellent team play and 'high tempo' match, not allowing Barca much time on the ball, doubling up on players. Brilliant tactics.

Now all we need is an easy game like Lille in the next round !

Who are Liverpool playing this weekend? Will be a tough game as your players worked hard last night.

Lack of top quality strikers.

Arsenal.........Henry
Man Utd........Rooney and Ronaldo
Chelsea.........Drogba and Sheva

Liverpool.......Bellamy,Crouch,Kurt and Pennant.

Says it all.

I'd have to agree. Although, since when was Pennant a striker ? You missed Fowler, El Zhar & Luis Garcia (and Lindfield if we're counting)

Voronin will be a great aquisition (very much like Berbatov) but we still need someone with that special something.

Pennant a striker now ?? Suggest you do some analysis before putting out nonsense.

ManUre strikers - total 35 goals this season
Liverpool strikers - total 32 goals this season

Drogba alone has 29 this season.

The Bindippers will win nothing this season. They havent scored a goal in their last 180+ mins of football and to boot have lost their last two games at home...
Still Ash, your banterful postings amuse me. I enjoy the musings of deluded, Life On Mars type Bin Dippers who cling on to the 1970's and 80's in their dreams and their football ramblings while convincing themselves that losing 2 games on the bounce without scoring is a good thing
Enjoy

theres something quite sad about your post, actually its probably you.

think you will find we did everything but score yesterday. Am sure Rafa is more than aware that he needs a 20+ man next year.

two years ago we had only the CL to play for. We all know what happened that year.

Lol it's like Istanbul never happened.

And being a ManU fan I can understand why you want to forget about the 70's and 80's, you were in the second division for most of it

well done for overcoming the mighty french, they really stretched you over two games.

Interesting that only fat boy is the only fit striker you have now. Great planning from Taggart. Impressive record not scoring in Europe for nearly 3 years.

did you not see Smith make his return? He's easily of the quality of the Liverpool strike force that have been so lethal these past two games. That's 2 fit strikers!

Indeed, he had a few good touches last night. Would have been nice if that volley went in though!!

I think you'll find we were the most comfortable winners in the last round and the only team that won both legs of their tie.
