Attendence vs Capacity ??
Hiow do the clubs get the attendence for each game, do they take all the season ticket holders as a given for each match before adding tickets sold ??
Anyone know
The reason I ask.....
Watching the Gooners yesterday (the replay is on in the background now) I noticed there were quite a few empty seats but they gave the capacity as 60,100. and the Arsenal website quotes capacity as 60,000.

Thats what they supposedly do at the emirates as well. Capacity is 60500 though, and also there a couple of hundred club or diamond club level seats I think that are not part of the turnstile system so just get added on.
Also, it seems that despite the promise that the new stadium would have better transport links and better food, people still get stuck getting into the games, all leave 10 mins early as that saves them at least an hour on the time getting home, and they don't have anywhere near enough food outlets/staff so hundreds spend the whole halftime and then 10 mins more queing.
Its a major problem as it just looks like there are empty seats. (also the expensive seats are shown on tv and these peoiple are still finisngin off their fillet steak in the restaurent and watch the game on the screens while quaffing champagne ) The club need to sort it out. you don't get these problems going for a glass of wine in the interval at the theatre so you shouldn't have to put up with it at the emirates

It's still a magnificent piece of work Ted, the aerial shots of it on Sky were superb, although I can't understand why they didnt build a small station at the ground with a platform on the tracks another couple of mill would have done it.

I read that one guy paid over the odds just so he could have the technical area where Arsene stood, not that I've seen any developement plans, could be part of his garden or maybe they'll extend the flats out from the main stand, either way he's not going to get any sort of view from there, let's face it Wenger saw **** all for 10 years from that spot
