Default Birmingham vs. Chelsea

Three minutes gone, and it's still 0-0.

Only another 87, plus stoppage time to go.

Sounds as if Birmingham are making a game of it.

Excellent. Just gotta make sure we do the business today. Especially after Jose's comments:

"Nine points behind I think is a big gap," the Portuguese tactician told Chelsea TV. "If I was in their position, I would be happy with the last couple of months, where they are playing good and winning matches, but very concerned about the distance.

"Nine points with seven matches to go - I am not thinking they are very close to us.

"Of course we have to chase the points we need, we cannot wait for them to drop points, but nine points in the reality of modern football is a big gap."
Simon.

Fantastic result - Birmingham deserve a pat on the back.

If we win today, they're only seven ahead, and we've still to play them.

Honestly, I think we're in with a shout.

We've just gone 1-0 down, and it came via their first threat on goal.

We'll still pick up the three points, I'm sure of it.

not today, it was back to Robben's turn. Alan Smith was reporting on sky and said he went down like a sack of spuds with no contact on the edge of the box. I wish somebody would snap his legs to give him a good reason to go to ground.

In that case, the new FIFA directive will see Robben and Drogba in nice new 'diving' armbands in the near future.
