The most pathetic dive award goes to Paul Durkin in the DiCanio incident.

Thought it was Paul Allcock, and yes, he was a disgrace.

I was watching the rugby over the weekend and I couldn't believe the gap in respect shown towards the referee in rugby, compared with that in football.

When Scott Murray was sent off for kicking out, he immediately apologised to the player, and followed up with a "sorry, sir" to the referee, who'd just shown him the red card.

It'd be nice to get that sort of respect into football.

True - a lot of it also to do with the way players are brought up through schools etc. Also the fact the ref can penalise the teams with extra yards for backchat is good to see. Think they should do this in football although any team Roy Keane played for would be playing off the goal line
