big signing for us. this guy "could" be as good/better than rooney, and as marketable/popular as beckham. listening to the experts they do say he's the next big thing, similar in potential to rooney at 16. we'll see, but that's the only way we can get these types, as in 2 years he'll be worth £30m and then only manure and chelski could afford him

Must be the first English player they've bought since Charlie George

Wasn't Pennant the next great winger?

Fact is he's going to not see first team football again except for a couple of cup apperances. Rooney was brought through at Everton who didn't have the class of player Arsenal do. It will be tough for him I think at first but he made the right choice not choosing Chelski

I just hope he is as thick as Rooney because now the press will build him up beyond all belief! Rooney doesn't seem to feel it or is too stupid to let it bother him.... Unfair to compare him to Henry or Rooney though. I don't want Arsenal to do well in all honesty but I love to see world class English players

Rooney has the pace as well. Did you see him chase Henry down in the last game and take the ball off him? Admittedly Henry had to run with the ball but it shows he has the turn of Pace.
