Vierra...
you SPLITTER!!!
For 3 years now he has messed the fans around and now it looks like he is finally ******* off back to Serie A. Well I hope his spell there is as cr@p as his first one when Wenger rescued his failing career and made him the player he is today
I don't see a Steven Gerrard type turn around on this one.
I can't believe we are only going to get 10m for him either - thats a joke, you can't buy anyone decent for 10m in the footballing market now, yet we are selling one of the Worlds best midfielders for that, its ridiculous.
The Arsenal Board have to take a lot of blame for this as well, they never keep the fans informed of whats happening, we are kept in the dark over everything. They should come out and say yes Vierra is looking to leave and we are listening to offers, not letting the fans have to put up with all the speculation rife in the press every summer.
Plus Juve are a bunch of lieing snakes http://skysports.planetfootball.com/...el=premiership

Mate, with all due respect to him he is no longer the player he used to be.
He is a shadow of his former self and his heart does not seem to be at Arsenal anymore....its better to offload him now and cash in (at all) than for him to do a Bosman later down the line. He wont achieve any more at Juve than at Arsenal and for me that says it all if he leaves....better for the club to get new blood in if you ask me. You did not miss him last season when he didnt play like you missed him in previous times......life goes on, the fact is you will always have Henry...now he is not replaceable

Ballack for 10 mil would be a great buy.
Vieria has wanted out and a last big payday for 2 years now. He knows like everybody else that the **** are not good enough in Europe and he wants a Champs league medal.
I'll be glad to see the back of the dirty, cheating, gobby, diving tw@t.
PS saying the above i like Rooney

lol Vierra has never dived in his life but he can now start practicing for Serie A. It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't club captain but thats the biggest loss, I know what your saying about him not being the same as 3 years ago but to lose your club captain is a big change for the dressing room.
I just hope Wenger has a big coup up his sleeve as we have not bought big this summer at all and all the big names he has gone for have said no thanks. If the board don't bring in big names as promised Henry might think twice about staying once Vierra and Pires leave

LOL I'm goping to miss that "Viera Yelp" whenever he gets close to a tackle he doesnt like... The wonderful way he could throw his 6'3" frame up in the air, land with a thud and yelp like a bitch to ensure the free kick was given... It's like losing an old friend, but I guess when your 33 year old advesary is still running rings round you, there comes a time to call it a day and run off to a land of pasta and fellow yelpers...

He knew his time was up after Ronaldo and Rooney rinsed him for fun in the Cup Final, along with Keane teaching him some manners at Highbury he probably couldnt stomach it anymore, he looked like he had lost interest last season after the Real move fell through.
I know youre pissed off right now but he gave u 9 great years so I'd be happy for them, a great player for the Gooners and the Premiership, I'd have had him at Old T at a drop of a hat.
Shame I'll miss him, do you think Pires and Sol will follow??
Still bemused myself as to why they sold him

Thankyou Vieira for your 9 years dedication. Good luck for the future.

I am an Arsenal supporter, and go to the games regularly. Vieira was idolised at Highbury, and I am supprised he has gone. I am dissapointed, but not as bothered as I would have beed 2-3 years ago. Last season he didn`t perform as well, still very good, but I don`t think his heart was in it. Not sure who we will have to replace him, we have lots of good players, but they are mostly too young to have the kind of influence Vieira had. Someone mentioned Ballack, he is a great player, but I don`t think Munich will sell him.
Just hope Wenger knows what he is doing. In the past though we have sold Overmars, Petit, Anelka, all at the top of their game, and have been fine, so hope we do the same this time.
Just wish we had taken the 25 mill from Madrid last year!
Alex.

I'm a gooner and i would have been gutted to see him go over the last two seasons, but i'm not now. He is a great player, but he struggled all last season without Gilberto beside him and he's 29 now and he has been loosing some midfield battles that two seasons ago he would have walked through. Wenger is the man for these occasions and he knows best. Look on the bright side, Bapista is on his way to us, and according to Paul Green-Turner(Talk Sport) he is one hell of a player, perfect foil for our Henry. Anyway weve still got the best player in the world in Henry, now to loose him would be a disaster. Plus our team is getting younger and more fluent in our perfect blend of footy. Come on you GOONERS ,head up.

he doesn't deserve to have his name spelt properly after splitting for Serie A, well thats my excuse anyway
I still think its a great loss, he would have been back with Gilberto this year and back to his normal self plus we have lost our club captain and he was very influential in the dressing room. Gilberto wont play as well without Vieira (just for mmmiddy) next to him. Unless we get a very big name into replace him I think our midfield is going to suffer badly this season, the youngsters just don't have the experience yet to step up full time

Flamini has a season under his belt, Gilberto is back toure can play a holding role and Fabregas is just something else, how did Barca ever let him go. New keeper on the way, new forward and one more midfielder in, FANTASTIC.. Those young lads who played in midfield last season got us to second and a cup final. What would you rather have young dynamic talent or ageing/aged talent like most teams in the prem. This is a big step up for us and the futures great
I just think that the one midfielder and one forward need to be big names with good European experience, not rough diamonds that are going to take a couple of seasons to get cut into shape.
I've been a huge Vieira fan along with Bergkamp (the best player I have ever seen) and I am gutted that its the end of Vieira at Arsenal now and Bergkamp at the end of the season. I hoped Vieira would stay and see out his career at Arsenal like Bergkamp has and hopefully Henry will.

I reckon getting 10m for him now is a good bit of business...he's not as good as he was, his wages will be huge, he's getting on a bit and he wants to leave...and they still get 10m!!!

And with Edu gone as well that leaves a big hole.
I'm sure Chelsea will loan you one of their 25 surplus midfielders after they've finished grassing Dein and Wenger up.......
