Chelsea can be ruled out though, as there's been no hint of any illegal approach just yet.

Id like to see him at Chelsea next season but as we only have Drogba and Gudjohson up front I think we need a striker first

If he does leave, At the risk of not wanting to strengthen the opposition in this country, i'd prefer to see Gerrard go to 'Real'.... tactical..!, plus that may give some bargaining power in return.

Rafa, has said he hopes to make new signings this week........ hopefully Gerrard will be one of them.

I'm sure he'll go to Chelski mainly because he wanted to go there last season before the 'fans' made sure he didn't with a few bullets in the post....

Fella, no offence intended but I'm reliably informed from very reliable sources that the above urban legend is complete and utter sh1te. No threats were made to him or his family during the previous Chelsea connection.

Never the less I'll be suprised if he goes anywhere this time either...Real have just signed there own "Gerrard", and I cant see the weasel faced mickey going to Chelski, although him and Lampard in centre-mid would be almost as good as Keane and Scholes in their hayday...

So if he's going anywhere its either to Grampus 8 or Havant & Waterlooville...IMHO IMHO IMHO oooooo IMHO

PS about the bullets in the post.... I was on the wind up. No substance to that story I know

Actually buddy I've been saying it all along...
I regard Alonso a better player plus the revenue gained from the sale would allow Benitez to sign some good players who are badly needed for vital areas in the team .
I also think the uncertainty of whether gerrard was staying or going was having an ill effect on the rest of the team. I'm glad its finally been resolved one way or the other.

I think he'll go to Madrid if they can get close to the Chelski money.

""How can I think of leaving Liverpool after a night like this?"

Quite easily it would seem!

I don't think Madrid will be able to match Chelseas financial clout tbh ..
If I had to bet I'd be putting my money on Chelsea

It's not always about the money offered. Remember Beckham? Barca offered more.

Wink

Paul, remind me of the 15 midfielders Chelsea already have

Which 4 do you go for, even rotating your going to use 6-7 max and I hear you're about to wrap up SWP for £20m
so
SWP
Duff
Robben
Gerrard
Lampard
Makalele
Cole

Any of the others wont stand a chance

fecking awesome Midfield, thank christ none of the strikers you've gone for want to come.

I would have thought Gerrard would have gone down to Real with Mickey O maybe Owen will also go to Chelsea hence the tranny request, I Cant see why Chelsea don't buy owen, he's better than what you've got

Don't be bitter scousers he's only leaving because he wants to win the Prem and other trophies and even he knows that Liverpool were last seasons "Greece"
