Default Toon Win Again In Europe

The ref played a big part, but the first sending off was nailed on for me, he shoved Dyer when he was off the ground.

Haven't got a clue what the 2nd one was for.

Overall, it's not easy to say whether we did well, considering the 2 sendings off, but as far as I'm concerned, we're home and hosed in this tie.

If you score 3 away goals in Europe, you should be f****d if you lose the tie on your own patch.

Andy.

After the last round, I looked at the teams who were left, and tho I thought going to Greece would be tough, I also thought that were no teams left that we couldn't beat over 2 legs.

Valencia and Ajax went out last time, and the best teams left in bar us ar AZ Alkmaar and Auxerre, and maybe Lisbon. But can we not beat any of them over 2 legs??? They wouldn't fancy playing us, I know.

Just watching Boro, and they've just went 1-0 down. In all honesty, I fancy Sporting Lisbon home and away against Boro. They're a decent side.

We shouldn't fear anyone now in this competition now, it's there for the taking.

Oh dear. Boro are history.

2-0 Sporting

This is what happens when you've no European history I'm afraid.

I want all the PROPER English teams to do well in Europe.

Unfortunately, some small team who were founded in 1986 (according to their own badge) doesn't count.

Makes no odds either way, at 3-0 down at home, they're f****d now.

2-3 in the last minute, holy moley, game on in the second leg.

Makes no odds to odds to us, we'll beat either of them, either over 2 legs, or in the final.

Andy.

Sorry, not last minute, about 4 to go, but what do I care, we're as good as thro. Hoho.
