Well as a long term (read suffering) Palace fan, I've seen the team go up and down more times than I care to remember. Watching the Chelsea match a few nights ago, I thought they did OK - but you could see the lack of class and quality compared to Chelsea (bit extreme, but it shows the gulf between the top and the bottom of the Premiership).
My heart says they have a chance, but I think they are going to seriously struggle. Dowie is a good manager and I hope they don't start blaming him and getting him sacked. He did a great job with a fairly limited squad last season, so you never know....

For a team that can't even spell it's own name right on their shirts
It looks doubtful, but good luck to Palace and remember you're a much better choice then Millwall

No Markus is probably right - There was a visable difference in the quality of the two teams. To be honest, there is a visable difference in quality between Man Utd / Arsenal / Chelsea compared to the rest of the Premiership - but it is more pronounced against the 'lesser teams'.
Once you get past Liverpool / Newcastle etc - there is a distinct lack of quality in the Premiership IMHO. It leads us into a false sense of security and flatters the top teams. I don't think that the Premiership is anywhere near as tough as Spain or even Italy. The quality certainly isn't there in depth. Results in European competitions do show this aswell.
Palace deserved their chance - they had a cracking run in the second half of last season. To go from near the bottom of the table to win the play offs shows spirit and courage and they played some pretty decent football. They are going to need all that spirit and courage to have a chance of surviving.

Don't worry too much about getting a stuffing by BORO today - they are a top team.
Now, if you get beaten by one of the clubs down the bottom with you - Newcastle, for example - you ARE in trouble!!
Go BORO Go!!!
