'Ave it, 5mill for Kewell ? Bargain. Like a true LFC he snubbed that lot down the Road (been told off for use of the word Scum before).

Thats the title charge we needed, I can see us doing it for year 2003-04. Finnan an excellent defender, yet not afraid to cross the half way line and Owen/Baros will do the business up front.

Who needs Champs league to get the best players, not us....

The guy's a greedy c*nt. I don't mind that he left - expected it.

But to demand a £2million fee not to do a Bosman is an act of sheer greed - he's a Judas.

I hope he breaks both his legs on his debut in a similar veil to David Busst.

NO! Both.

One for each £1 million pounds he's lined his already buldging pockets with.

Cant tackle, loses the ball 9/10 times, bone stinking idle and was not liked by fellow Leeds players for being a big head.

Pool fans you will see.

Still a lot of confusion over where the money has really gone, problem is these agents, they are really sc*m of the earth.

Leeds I feel sorry for a little, but they should have tied down Kewell end of season 2001/03, one thing that Liverpool have learnt is that you never let a contract go into the last 2 years - McManaman was lost when we could have had £12m for him.

Personally, I think we need to spend more time in the opposition third, if we concede a few more then who cares, just as long as we Owen / Baros are hitting over 20 each a season. Kewell can provide that source for our strikers.

Sti - the fun starts here.

We had the best ever Premiership start last season. We can sustain that challenge this year.

Firmly believe we have the resources in place to change our style of play, Finnan will provide the forays down the right. Kewell / Riise will storm the left. Best midfielder in the country in the middle and two hot strikers netting the goals. On top of that we have Dudek and England's no1 ready to stop the goals.

I see you lot offered more than 7m for him, but you got snubbed. ha-ha

Cmon, don't blame our Kewell in the Crown.

You're underestimating the slime that are called agents. There's money missing here and don't think for one minute that that Manic has not taken it. Have you seen the slimeball on TV - just looks crooked.....It is alledged that the 2m went to Kewell's representatives.....

Yeah I've seen him, Real cocky arrogant muth funster, they really are the dirge of the footballing world these greedy B@stards.

Fair do's to Kewell I would have done the same in his position if i had supported them since a lad but I wouldnt tell everyone I'd been setting it up for 6 months!

What with this and the Beckham bull5hit that dragged on for weeks they really arent good adverts for football at least its made the time pass and the season is only 5 weeks away

Agreed FM, I don't think Kewell should have mentioned the 6 months. If I was Leeds i would be pushing for a hearing on the grounds that he had been speaking to another club for 6 months. I know whats goin to happen here, Harry is goin to take a lot of crap from Leeds fans, but the truth is that Leeds should have sorted this out earlier and also that if (?) Leeds are clever enought (which they are not!) then they can instruct their lawyers to get the 2m back from his agent on the grounds that he has been been talkin to Liverpool for 6 months - an approach which is illeged. I as a Pool fan would welcome that, even if it costs the club a fine. I support Leeds in that matter.

We have had the best defence over the past 3 years (on average - have a look) and we have the best of English talent in midfield and also former European footballer of the year up front. I'm predicting Owen to to top 40 goals in all comps this year.

I met some friends of mine in outer Leeds last night, two of which are inverse reds fans. one of them had a right go at Liverpool, totally uncalled for and not provoked. Kept goin on how we were so bad, shut the **** up when I told him that Scum had not won the title for 25/26 years... tried to tell me that 13 years was not that far off...

Very impressed with the warm up today against Cologne, looks more like an offsensive strategy - Baros, Owen, Mellor and even Heksey looked sharp. I am quietly confident, expecting Owen to show why he is the best ever talent in the Premiership, can also see Heskey hitting late teens.

Think its goin to be between us and the ****.

Its no loss ash IMHO

I've always preffered players that came to Utd because they want to "play" for Utd, not money hungry mercenaries, although the way Utd handled it was pretty arrogant and it blew up in their faces, it looks like it was all about the money for Ronnie anyway, because in the worstcase scenario he could have stayed at PSG for one more season then walked into Real.

It will keep us in chip paper for a while with all the tabloids trying to guess who Fergie chases next, whoever it is lets hope they need a keeper

If it was all a about the money then he would have sat out the year and then moved, so I don't think he is a total mercenary. I read Barca president saying that the climate and Spanish culture were more to his liking.

Anyway, perhaps you're after Duff ? But wouldn't that mean that Giggs would be second choice ?

I can't see Duff being picked over Giggs.

Giggs is world class, Duff might be one day but isn't in Giggs' league at the moment.
