saints never stood a chance

they never stood a chance against Arsenal, its like come on there a world class team with loads of international stars in it, not depriving saints of any glory but they wouldn't of won.

I thought Southampton played well. For periods of the game they matched the ****.
But Cup Finals are won and lost by lucky ricochets, and the **** defintely got one there. Up until then, Pires was never in the game.
But fair do`s to Arsenal, they did well.
A good final for the neutral. I enjoyed it.

Enjoyed the day out but not the result.
We gave it our best shot but did not really create enough chances.
One thing we did win was the singing. The Arsenal fans were very flat.

I loved the whole experience - it's not often we get to sing abide with me (well, bar the old funeral). Speaking to the gooners in the pub before, they were less than comfortable - they really didn't expect to hammer us 6-1 the week before, and were dead edgy.
The fundamental flaw was not playing Fernandez - he's started very game for us last season, and was missed. I though that the young left back had a great game mind.
Saints rose to the occasion nicely, as you would expect.
BUT.....
What a total bunch of **nts the Aresenal fans were. They wouldn't even cheer when they were collecting the cup. I was sat on the border between the Saints and the Gunners - what a complete contrast - the Saints were singing all game, the gooners were just sat there. I've heard gooners saying "well we've been here before blah blah blah" - as a season ticket holder, I can safely say Man U are the best visiting fans, Newcastle and Chelsea are good. They've all been there. I'd now have to put Arsenal below Leeds in the fans stakes. I know their ground gets called Library rather than Highbury, but I've never seen anything like it!! We even got to sing "shall we sing a song for you" when they were collecting the cup!
Any gooners out there, well done, great team, great manager, great individual players, but the worst fans I'd ever seen, including local games.
Absolute shocker.
