Come on! I know you will all want to take this opportunity to wish Brazil all the luck in the world for tomorrow’s game. Good luck boys.

Frazer,
Just exactly HOW big is that chip on your shoulder??
Can we re-build Hadrian's Wall specifically for narrow-minded people like yourself please?

Do you think if it was Scotland playing today you would be cheering them on? I think not!
Come on guys, it's just a bit of fun. Although Frazer, where are the winkie smilies
Let's not get into this and hopefully watch a good game of football

Amanda-Jane,
EXACTLY the point. If it was Scotland, the HUGE majority of English would support the Scots, just as we did the Irish the other day. I've heard all the reasons why this isn't reciprocated, and of course can't really appreciate how Scottish feelings towards the English on this sort of occasion are cultivated, but to come out with a blatant Come On Brazil just confuses and saddens me.
However, as you say, let's hope it's a good game, whether you're supporting England or not...

y'know, I thought only the Germans took delight in other's misfortune. They're about the only language with a word for it - schadenfreude.
(Yes, I know they're still in the world cup at the moment )
