I know there are a lot of football-haters on here, but has anyone on here absolutely no intention of watching the game tomorrow?
And if so, WHY??

Puff,
Gently tootle?? If ever there was a day to see what the wrong side of 69.9mph is like, surely tomorrow is it?!! Coppers will be fighting each other NOT to patrol the dismal M11 on a friday morning, especially tomorrow morning.
Come on, at least make it WORTHWHILE!!!

and before anyone starts, why should i watch a round from a sport i have little interest in? i dont dislike it but equally have no more desire to put myself in front of a telly for it. did everyone here watch the bike GP at the weekend? did everyone watch the 100's of other sports that were taking place? no- so why should i watch the footie, ohhh cause The Sun says i should.
for other reasons i hope Brazil thrash us.. but thats another thread.

I won't be allowed to!
I'm currently working in Ireland... I so want us to win so I can at least throw back some of the ant-England comments that have been said to me since I got here.

I thought of those poor people that have meetings / exams etc that morning
Then I phoned 20 dentists, 20 hairdressers, 4000 estate agents and booked an 8.30 appointment

Sad Sad Sad the lot of you.
This is the Quater Final of the WORLD CUP for Chissakes!!
If you can't get patriotic for a game like this, against probably the best side in the world, what exactly DOES light your fire about this country??
If we get to the FINAL, do you all STILL not watch??
Come on, be one of the boys, at least for 90 minutes..!!

Tiggs,
If it was the World Angling Championships then no, i probably wouldn't.
But how many of us stayed up late to watch the Scottish girls win the curling gold at the Winter Olympics? I did, and i couldn't tell you the first thing about curling.
But if you go to the right place, with a decent crowd, tomorrow morning could be one of the truly memorable occasions, whether it's just socially for the atmosphere, and/or sporting if you enjoy the football too.
All this Come On Brazil i just don't get. Where does that come from? Do you really mean it? Why? Come on, for the first time in 36 (not 50) years, we have the chance of winning something pretty worthwhile in the eyes of many millions of people across the planet...
Crack open a beer. You won't regret it. You MIGHT even enjoy it..!!

Sat up and watched curling???? That is sad! Yes, I would stay up and watch a sport that interested me (rally, rugby, topless darts etc) but football? Nah, I have no interest in it. It might just as well be tiddlywinks or crown green bowling.
Please remember that not everyone on here is English/British, hence the come on Brazil comments that are being posted. Me, I support only 2 teams in sport 1. South Africa and 2. Anyone playing England.

Hey Tiggs - I can keep answering your questions all night but if you keep changing them because you don't like the answers I think everyone else will get as bored as you clearly are
Does anyone have the curling viewing figures for Mr Bored
And in anticipation of his next post - can you get the viewing figures for the Pea shooting final (I belive that was a 13 year old English lad )

TaviaRS, Could it be that your particular lack of interest is down to South Africa perhaps not having...how shall I put it....reached their true potential in that particular sport.....Just a thought
