Personally I think Brazil have the best forward line and the worst defensive back four left in the tournament.
Therefore as long as our defence does it's job and Owen/Heskey take the chances when they come along, we CAN win this.......

We've got the best keeper & back four still in the tournament, backed up by a midfield brimming with confidence and a world class strike force.
With the added advantage of all ten being proven goal scorers at club & country level, both from open play & set pieces, Bring It On!

Looking forward to it. I think the defense and goalie is strong enough, providing they remain disciplined and keep thinking smart.
The forwards don't really need much flair against the brazilian back 4 as the Brazilians do seem to make mistakes.
It's often said that they way they play football is with the attitude, "if they score three, we'll score four" but I hope they'll find troubles doing this against a solid back 4.

I do hope they win (I'm English but living in Jockland BTW) but i can't help think that the heat will be our downfall
When we beat the argies it was in that posh air con stadium and when we beat Denmark it was at night in the p1ssing down rain.
Brazil, mid day heat ..... Still have my fingers crossed though

Brazil look very good when team's give them enough space to play their excellant attacking football.
I can't see England giving them that luxury.Sven has got them closing down and defending the Italian way.It may not be pretty but it is very effective.
Come on England.
Cheers Paul.

Had a strange dream about this game last night. Brazil won 5-2, but the ref said we played so well that he gave us the match and we went through .
???? I was.
It will a nail bitting game and I would not like to predict a score.
OK, then 3-1 to England. Brazil scoring first. Then Owen x2 and Sherringham.

sad to say but USA showed us how against mexico
Their man marking was excellent and both goals came from wide crosses into the box v simple very well organised .
it wont work that way against the germans though.

Totally agree, watching Brazil yesterday the England forwards can open up their defence like a tin can and the England defence will just have to keep close tabs on Rivaldo & Bugs Bunny.
Should be interesting to see who wins the right wing battle - Danny Mills vs Roberto Carlos.

My money is on Mills,he has been an absolute revelation so far, with only one little display of his infamouse temper. Don't forget, the way we are playing at the moment it isn't just Mills either, the overlap between him and Beckham should take Roberto Carlos right out of the equation.
Here's hoping
