Default Rory McIlroy

Congratulation's to Rory.
Had to dig deep towards the end.

This lad is going to post some cracking golf statistics before the end of his career.

I am not a big "golf person" (probably because my game was useless ) but I did go past my sleep time to hear closing holes on R5L. A great moment when he won. Seems like a cool laid back kind of guy so Well Done Rory.

He used to live a few miles away from me, and he's a genuine young lad.

What was impressive about this win for Rory is he had to wait around 5 mins at times to play every single shot because of hold ups in front, sometimes longer. He's normally a quick player, it can't have done anything for his rhythm or fluency.

Heard him interviewed last night and he just said he has noting else to focus on right now so he may as well just play golf .... seems to work.

I don't know much about him, but from what I heard on the interview he seems very humble and down to earth which is refreshing.

Best of luck to him.

He comes across as a top lad that just wants to play golf and enjoy what he's exceptional at, he makes golf look easy and for those of us that try and play the game we know it aint lol

Im from Holywood and worked with his dad for years, back when Rory was just a nipper. Gerry himself is a decent golfer too. glad he's done so well and not let the 2011 masters get to him. Many others have crumbled when they miss their first major win.
