The day was ok...damp conditions at firs but that means it's even more fun RWD - wet ..... skid racing madness
From my experience what i can tell.... that m3 is a perfect combination of luxury and speed ... but ..brakes are so shiieeettt that after 5 laps u need to come back to pits to cool them down...blah blah blah...the pads were pagid uprated ones... The front end of the car felt very heavy so the front tyres have worn down much quicker then the rear ones. SMG box felt very nice giving u that quick kick in your butt changing the upper gear...The car felt very well balanced but... again...the standart form of it is deffo not for track thing. Family coupe...was taking a **** out of my m8, as i'm scooby man , too soft , **** brakes , leather interior made me holding all handles as i was sliding as **** on it.. Great engine, steering feel, very informative and easy to correct... My m8 did his 1st track day in uk with this car in damp conditions with street tyres , and got 1min. 04 secs....with me weighin' 80kg and him 110kg. Not bad for stock car. Whatewah peeps on here say bout beemers i still love them and agree that their real dirvers cars... I'm talking bout M_Tech otherweis their pimped out road sheds

I know u love your cars as much as i love , but common, the scoobs are not the best handling cars in the world, the propper track cars have been always RWD and AWD was more for Rally. My joice of scoob was because their very safe to learn driving fast , gives u a bit more confidence when u make a mistake to correct it.The unique engine------- actually exhaust sound... and usefull as an everyday car - boot , 4 doors...the last that their turbocharged and can be easily tuned to your desired power. I love my car but if i had a chance there would be some other marks in my garage....

I may consider an E46 M3 CSL great car but I have the feeling it willl still not have the poke of the scoob even the New M3 has 400bhp but only 295lb ft torque, 35 lb ft less than mine and 95 lb ft less than Ricky's...
This is an article I read before I bought my car back in 2007
M3 CSL v 911 GT3 v Impreza STi Spec C | Car Group Tests | Car Reviews | evo
I'm wondering how we'll against the new M3 CSL with power up to 440bhp with over 300lbft torque should be interestings

I think the E46 CSL & Spec C are quite evenly matched on a track. But the Spec C is far more tuneable & has more potential due to turbo. But at higher speeds there is no alternative to displacement & the BMW has almost double the litres. Also they are luxurious & easy to live with day to day. I did look at buying one before buying the Spec C, but they were approx £10k over my budget & bang for buck there wasnt much to beat the Spec C.

Agree with what your saying Mantaz, £40k brings so many other cars onto the question. Also RAR's are something special in terms of performance as are Type 25's. But S204's are special due to limited numbers; lovely interior; wheels & £3k of Recaro Seats but otherwise theyr based on a JDM STi with a load of suspension goodies thrown at them. Id rather take a lightly modded Spec C

^^^ 101% agree m8, i'm just saying that s204 = m3 csl, with all those goodies it have...(blue printed engine, susspension and brake setup etc.) I'd have spec c any day but if my budget was 15k more i would deffo had a look at top spec's of other car marks as well... Spe c is 1ne of the best bang for buck deffo..but there is always gonna be better if money is not an issue....

Thats a blobeye shape Type 25 that could have been based on a JDM blobeye Sti not a Spec C & also weighing 40k more
A mapped Spec C produces more torque & far earlier in the rev range than a Blobeye Type 25 & has less lag
Below is a std blobeye Spec C running only approx 300bhp

blob type 25 might have 40kg more.....but 40bhp more then spec c as well .(ruffly) The suspension and other goodies , Just lets be realistic however we love scoobs, csl is a very well setup car in the standart form. I've heard some peeps get bout 380+ out of them with sensibile mods.Anyways i'd have both if i could , but gues what...scoob would be for everyday and csl for the track
Damn..... .... Good things are happenning at the wrong time Pete...Can't do it on monday ...i'll try my best hought....
