Default Christmas Hangovers, New Year Next

It's been a bit quiet in here over the last couple of days. Are we all nursing Christmas hangovers

What's everyone up to over New Year. Me quiet night in with a few mates, avoids babysitter worries, and then off to a wedding on 2nd Jan. Back to work on the 7th

It has been quiet in here? Im already back at work but its dead quiet, all I seem to have done for the last couple of weeks is drink & eat!! For xmas lunch went to that new hotel in Bushey/Watford called The Village, great bar/reataurant etc. New years is gona be a tame affair at wifes sisters house with kids & inlaws!!

On the Scooby front: I washed it last week in near freezing temperatures!; still waiting for my Muteki lug nuts; battery's almost completely finished so had to order the Odyssey PC680 today at £90 ; & for the first time in my life own a car thats gone up in value due to yen/sterling exchange rates!!!

Never heard of it mate, is there a web site.

Only a half marathon this time, I've decided too late to do a full one, they're all booked up.

Willows Farm Village

The best place to take the things in the surrounding area IMO, there is just so much to see & do for the kids. Though try & go when its not raining as a lot of the activities are outdoor.

That's "convenient" Jon! Should have done the Ricky Road Run back in october- a much more civilised time of year and only 9 miles!!!

For me it's about 15 seconds, 3 to open the bottle of stella and 15 back to the sofa, so 33 seconds

Oh, and my last half marathon was just under 1 hr 36 mins, but Peterborough is quite flat. I have a Garmin GPS watch, so my 13.1miles around the Bushey, Watford & Harrow hills was a fraction over 1 hr 39 mins last Sunday.

To break through 1 hr 35 will be a new PB, but as close to 1 hr 30 as possible.

I took the front wheels off this afternoon and washed them - white wheels look great but they are a right PITA to keep clean. Lots of scrubbing and three more coats of poorboys. Gunks one of the wishbones and some stuff inside the wheel arch while I was there but gave up after one arch. I'll do it again when I strip the suspension down to do the bushes when it gets warmer.

Do the rear wheels and the rest of the car tomorrow once the drive de-frosts.
