Bournemouth Go Karting Event
#1
I have just spoken to Go-Karting for Fun at Hurn. They can offer a Super Prix or 2/3 hour endurance event. The cost will be in the region of £30 depending on the size of the group.
These events are a great laugh and you get a chance to show off your driving skills on the track.
We'll get Christmas out the way and go for a mid-week evening in Febuary.
Any takers, if so prefered dates please?

sounds like a plan. any date is fine by me.
from experience i'd prefer a grand prix style event if possible - lasts longer and makes an evening of it.
p.s. yes i know to post on here i should really have a car with some *****...

Got the paperwork through from them this morning. It's called Indoor Go-Karting and not Go-Karting for Fun.
The Mini Prix is £30 per head
The Super Prix is £40 per head so probably worth paying the extra tenner!
The only catch is a minimum of 20 people so ask all your friends/work mates etc, so that we can run this event as it should be a night to remember. I'll be asking for deposits shortly and finalise a date.

I think they might be haggled down a bit, we used to go there for the arrive and drive at lunchtimes. £10 for nearly 20 minutes which is excellent value, you don't get a lot more than that in a mini-prix!

Hope they still have the bridge !
Why can't we just get the files for the RR printouts from Eclipse? I will go out there and sort it out sometime... (if there is any one there...)

Chris,
Have you thought about a date for this? I guess you suggested mid-week 'cause of the girlfriend.....
I suppose at the end of the day it depends on the karting chaps, but just to start the ball rolling how about the 13th Feb?

John,
I was only going for a mid-week day as it seems that this is when everyone has less commitments so we may get more interest.
I'll bring the paperwork along with me to the mid-week meet on the 16th January and get a feel for when people want to do it. As I said earlier, we need a minimun of 20 people so there does need to be a fairly large amount of genuine interest to make this take off.

Looks like we have 8 definates for this, so come on invite your mates/relations as we need a minimum of 20 people.
Does Wednesday 27th February sound good for everyone, if so I'll start taking deposits of £15 per head.

27th sounds fine at the moment, but if i were to drop out, would it cause more grief than me simply losing my deposit? i don't care about losing the deposit, but don't want to ***** up the evening for eveyone else if as a result the group no longer has the required number of bods.
only 8? i'm sure in the pub last wed there were at least 8 going to do it, and that didn't include a few people on this posting.

Many thanks for your concern Rich, but for any thoughtless scum bag who was thinking about half inching my pride and joy would be most disapointed as I don't keep it at that address. They are on the other hand most welcome to my £150 1.1 Fiesta with go faster faded red paint work!!

Well well well, what's happening all?
Ron is the only person to part with his money so far?
Anyone still interested, I need the deposit of £15 made payable to 'Indoor Karting Centre' by this Thursday 7th February latest.
Mail me for address details.
RON - good to see you on Saturday night. Did you use the excuse of dropping your cheque off to me as the reason you were cruising past Elements etc to do a totty scout?? Nice one!
